Empower your Marketplace Ministry

A Marketplace Ministry is:
a service for others,
performed by a Christian,
in the marketplace, and
where God gets the glory.
It is an expression of your Christian calling to fullfill the Great Commission by providing a valued service to Not-Yet-Christians, that allows the Christian to establish an ongoing relationship with them.

By Marketplace I mean any ministry not conducted inside a Church Building. It does not have to be a business or involve the exchange of money. Some Marketplace Ministries do charge fees to allow ongoing sustainability, such as a FoodBank, which may by free of charge or charges fees to cover its costs. Providing professional services such as legal advice or councilling services could be another example as well as a group of Christians volunteering to clean up a yard for a person in need or provide free baby sitting services for families with no local support.

The purpose of a Marketplace Ministry is to serve others, not benfit the individual Christian and will bring Glory to Christ. Delivered with love and empathy to not discourage or drive Not-Yet-Christians away from the Gospel.

It is likely to involve using the unique gifts, assets and experiences God has equipped you with and is an application of the lessons and support provided by the Church on Sundays. It is the Gospel with work, saying more than words alone.

It is the unique application of your life that allows every Christian to be a "good and faithful servant".
