There are an infinite number of ways to spend your limited time. Every choice to do something as a choice to not do something else. A foundational step in life and time management is to define and order your priorities.
Start by considering all of the important catagories in your life. These could include family, work, hobbies, health, finances, spiritual, education, anything important in your life. For followers of Christ who see a Marketplace Ministry as your individual method to connect and serve others, God should be the number one priority. First list the many catagories that are important in your life.
Now comes the import step that most have not taken the time to complete. Consider all of you priority catagories and rank them in order. The time taken in this step before there is pressure, allows you to make better decisions when there is a conflict of priorities. If i have to make a choice does exersize come before study, does work come before family, does time with Christ take precedence over relaxing? Again for those growing a Marketplace Ministry, Your person time with Christ in prayer and Bible must be of first priority. Consider also if you lose your Health or Marriage, you most likely lose it all. Take time now to list you priorities in order.
A simple checklist I use is BETTER.
